CursorSlinger for macOS 12 or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Signed and notarised by Apple, so it opens without warnings.

Setting it up

1. Open the disk image and drag CursorSlinger to your Applications folder.
2. Launch it. It lives in the menu bar and has no Dock icon.
3. Allow Bluetooth when macOS asks.
4. Grant the permission macOS asks for, in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Device Control and Data Access (called Accessibility before macOS 26). This is what lets the app move the cursor.
5. Quit and reopen the app: a new permission does not reach an app that is already running.
6. Choose Pair New Controller… in the menu and press a button on the controller within 60 seconds.

Staying current

This version checks cursorsling.ger.llc for the current version when it starts and every six hours, so you know when there is an update. Old versions may be asked to update before they carry on working. The privacy policy says exactly what the check sends.

Which version should I get?

This download and the Mac App Store version are the same app. The App Store version updates itself through the App Store and makes no network connections at all. This one updates by downloading a new version from here.
